Worst Password of 2016 – is your password secure?

TeamsID has announced the Worst Password List of 2016.
As we introduced the same password of 2015 – surprisingly it is not really changed drastically yet, meaning still millions of peoples are putting themselves at risk, the TeamsID article says.

Now, is your password safe? What about SNS such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest… and what about your shopping site accounts?

Surprisingly, 1st and 2nd position are not changed from 2015. Especially, the 2nd one “password” are commonly known as router default password, some might not have updated since they are purchased.

“123456” is still listed as the worst password in the world, unchanged from 2015. But you must know that this is very easy to be clacked even from brute-force attack. You can download ZIP password retrieving software for free from internet everywhere. They usually just do that brute-force attack to your ZIP file to retrieve your lost password to unzip. If you are curious enough, we will recommend you to try to set the password “123456” to the ZIP file and try password retriever. You can set the max character it tries, and select option what type of characters it uses – numbers, lower alphabets, upper case and symbols. Just set the max characters to 8, use numbers and hit the key to try… You will be amazed how long it will just take to get the “123456” password. Here, you know how risky it can be.

at 15th or under there are plenty of new keywords listed up. But remember, all those passwords listed are quite risky – as the hacker might try to use them before any other attack, because it already tells you lots of people use them still!

  1. Use at least 12 characters to your password. Mix types of characters with numbers, lower / upper cases, and symbols.
  2. Avoid using the same password over and over again to different accounts.
