Have you ever heard about the snapper fishing method from Japan – “Tai Raba”? This is one of Snapper fishing method that uses Tai Raba – means Snapper Rubber – and it was originally from business fisherman from some part of Japan. This is also called “Tai Kabura”.

This Tai Raba has sinker on top looks like a head of squid or octopus, and has rubber strings and rubber skirts on the bottom which fascinates snappers very well.

Yamashita, which used to be a big leading brand in Japanese fishing industries, and now combined with Maria, the big lure company, and renamed to Yamaria – this company is famous especially in the way of making lures from scientific point of view, and now has released the new Tai Raba – named “Tai Kabura Hadou seriese.

Scientifically Established Wave Motion from Hadou Tai Kabura

To make this new Tai Kabura, Yamashita made their own fishing park at Bousou, Chiba to research how snappers bite baits (of course they should use it to other purpose though).

Here is the movie about the story.

Even though this is in Japanese, you can even see how snappers bite the Tai Raba.

It actually used to be told that snappers bite from backward, little by little from the skirt. But in this movie they actually attack mainly to the jig head. Yamashita says it is because those snappers set the point of bites to the eyes of the jig head.

In this movie also says they also researched the waves built from snapper’s baits – sardines and prowns, and made it so the skirt can make the same wave type of those baits.

You can also see how easy the rubbers can be changed with this Hadou baits.

New products are the 2 items of Hadou (meaning wave) series – the jig head “Hadou Dama Chokushin (meaning wave-ball swim straight)” and the rubber “Hadou Bait (meaning wave bait)”. Hadou Bait is already on sale, and Hadou Dama will be on the list of the shop soon.
