DAIWA’s Middle Class Spinning Reel Has Come Back with Big Updates

DAIWA 21 CALDIA is now back with big difference from previous model.

Previous 18 CALDIA had ZAION body with DS5 plastic rotor but this new 21 CALDIA’s body / rotor materials are now changed to DAIWA’s new carbon material – ZAION V, which is much stronger than previous DS4 / DS5 plastic materials that used for previous CALDIA’s rotor.
This ZAION V is not as strong and light as ZAION but much better than DS4 / DS5 plastics – as DAIWA’s official says.

And this is the second big update -21 CALDIA now has Monocoque body with this new ZAION V, therefore the main drive gear has become much bigger and has more torque, but stronger and lighter. Of course, water resistance is much improved by this Monoqocue body as well.

New 21 CALDIA also has Magsealed at pinion gear to keep high quality water resistance.
