“Swim Like a Minnow” Metal jig from Seabass Maker Ja-do
“Everything for Fun Fishing” – this metal jig Rezan has been released by Japanese Seabass fishing tackle brand Ja-do, announced at Japan Fishing Show 2019.
As this is one of metal jigs, made all by metal material, with heavy weight in between 5 – 40g, that makes quite longer cast distance than lures, but not really like other jig – that wobbles its tail when retrieving, which can be used like a sinking minnow.
As soon as hitting the bottom it flows up quickly when you start reeling. Then start wobbling its tail well to make flash effect.
This fall action is awesome as well. You would be surprised when you cast this jig – how long Rezan takes to hit the bottom. This means, Rezan suspends and swing well in the water, that can make a bite time for the fish. Yes, you can use this as a slow jig as well.
Especially this – when you see the boils in front of you but a bit far, then you can use this Rezan to hit the boils. Then sometimes, you may need to retrieve speedy, especially for Kingfish, Amberjack, Mackerels such kind of species, but when you do “skipping” method or jerk hardly, metal jig can get your line and tangle easily, as you may have already noticed.
But this Rezan doesn’t. Yes, really not!
In my experience, once or twice in 100 times, literally. And even if this gets your line, it can go off really easily and quickly. It can even release the line while you jerk, that the other jigs do not do.
Not only for Seabass but for Trevally, Bluefish (Tailor), Flathead, Flounder, even Sea Bream (Snapper), Hairtail, Kingfish, Amberjack, Freshwater Bass species, Cods… So many different species have already been caught by this Rezan.
