How do you usually target kingfish from rock shore?
The basic styles are those things:
- Plugging – use popper / diving pencil / sinking minnow or pencil and reeling just on / under the surface
- Jigging – use metal jigs and wind up from the bottom fast / slowly.
But sometimes, there are some kind of situation like this – fish are not keen to bite on / under the surface (meaning they are not too attractive at the time) but they don’t like jigs either.

- Cast
