OSEA Jigger from SHIMANO is one of famous offshore jigging overhead reel, which is premier, powerful high-end one as you might have already known.
Now this OSEA Jigger has another model called – F Custom, with fall lever to control your jigging action much wider.
Fall Lever – To Control Falling Speed
This OCEA Jigger F Custom is based on normal OCEA Jigger, and the only one different is Fall Lever, which is already featured to OCEA Conquest CT, Grappler CT, etc. to control jig fall speed as you like.
This makes your thumbing very easy to control jig’s falling speed, and easy to adjust and match to the today’s pattern.
This falling speed is really important especially for slow jigging and Tairaba game.
For Tairaba, snapper watches when tairaba falls and if it looks more natural to them, they chase or even bite at the fall. But if it’s not, they give up to chase. Today’s matching fall speed is differed by place and time always, so firstly you’ll need to seek the right 2 speeds – reeling speeds and falling speed. And with this Fall Lever, once you get the right falling speed you’ll keep the fall lever in the same position as when you get bites, then you’ll get more bites.
For slow jigging, what it does is pretty same – slow type jigs fall with wobbling, but slowly with flashing, and those are designed to appeal especially at falling time. With Fall Lever you can match up with the right speed once you find it, very easily.
So you don’t really have to scratch your thumb too much!

This OCEA Jigger F Custom has 4 sizes – 1000 / 1500 / 2000 / 3000 with left / right handle, but only with high speed gear (HG).

Dear Joaquin, similar but not that one. First copper color fish is Amberjack, second one is Yellow Fin Tuna. The last monster fish is Amberjack again.
I am interested in replacing my ocea jigger 2000 NRHG with the NEWEST f custom. I saw only once that the 2021 model was for sale outside of Japan. Is there any difference between the 2019 & the 2021? Do you sell the 2021? Thank you
Hi Jim, 2021 model is not “F custom” but normal Ocea Jigger additional model – 2000NRXG, the highest gear ratio model and 2000MG, middle gear ratio of 5.7:1.
2019 Ocea Jigger F Custom has Fall Lever as described and new Ocea Jigger 2000NRXG does not, but other than that not much different.
