We apologize for very late first update at 2018.
But now we are introducing one of the most exciting news from Fishing Show.
You might have already heard about this expectation as lots of people already assumed, but finally, the highest performance SHIMANO spinning reel STELLA is renewed and released soon!
And this news has been announced at Japan Fishing Show 2018, at Jan 19th – 21th.
Here we introduce this new reel to you today.
The Biggest Feature is “Light and Smooth Winding”
Since the first STELLA was released, light and smooth reeling is the most biggest purpose to be pursued. And now, the smoothest STELLA is here.
Micromodule gear II is the biggest feature to achieve this, for sure.
At first, SHIMANO used to be a gear maker from 1921 and therefore they have strong motivation and high skills to create new gear for anything. And the most advanced gear technology has released this gear. The tooth of gear is smaller than the normal spinning reel gears, and because of this, the lightest and smoothest reel feeling is achieved. The shape of each gear tooth are redesigned carefully, and renewed, as SHIMANO official says.
And of course, HAGANE Gear is featured as well. As Hajime Murata – japanese pro angler -says this HAGANE gear is twice stronger than old HAGANE Gear. You may remember the type “XD” for Twim Power the last year, this STELLA basically has the same level of toughness.
This new STELLA ’18 also has Silent Drive feature. This feature is the redesigning of gears, shafts and all parts around them to achieve more smoothness and silence.
You MUST try and wind this, if there’s any chance for you! You will be highly amazed, we bet.
Advanced Water Resistance – X-Protect
From Twim Power XD, advanced Core Protect – X Protect is also installed to this new STELLA ’18 therefore it has huge power of water resistance.
Actually, previous Core Protect could not get really good reviews from users. They often reported the line roller with Core Protect can be rusted sometimes.
But this X-Protect does not have such kind of negative reviews so far.
Specs and Release Date
Surprisingly, this new STELLA ’18 has 16 models from first, in between 1000 – C5000.
And prices are basically the same as previous STELLA ’14.
This SHIMANO STELLA ’18 will be released at March, 2018.
